NEW TO THE MARKET

Pickle is a 1989 Hylas 44 Ready to set sail, comfortable and proven to be a safe cruising vessel. 

Current owner purchased the boat in late 2023 and lived aboard full-time until summer of 2025.  He comfortably cruised the Bahamas last season, and hauled the boat for hurricane season and bottom work last summer 2025. There have been extensive refits, mostly done in Charleston under the guidance of Mike Carson at 2C's Yacht Outfitters, where he has many years of experience following KBYG standards. The refits are the following:

• 800 amp-hour Victron lithium bank (12v) with Lynx smart BMS busbar, 3000 watt multi plus II inverter-charger, with new ancor wiring
• 170 amp alternator with Arco Zeus high energy alternator regulator
• 1270 watts of new solar panels under two Victron charge controllers
• Raymarine electronics package - Axiom 2 Pro 9 chart plotter, Quantum radar, new wired masthead wind transducer, new depth sounder, ITC5 junction, i70s displays and Evolution auto pilot. All new Sea Talk NG wiring
• Pura San in forward head, new plumbing and toilet, no holding tank. New aft head and all new plumbing. Easy to set up aft head as fresh or raw water.
• 1 Clark pump watermaker, 7 gallons/hr. drawing only 100 watts and very quiet
• New precision sails in 2024, good condition
• 6/11 thru-hulls replaced, 5 original brass seacocks remain, electrically bonded and easy to access
• 2 poly water tanks, 2 original stainless
• 2 /25 gallon original stainless fuel tanks
• 5hp dinghy motor new in 2024, good condition
• Running rigging new in 2023
• Standing rigging replaced in 2013. Original glassed-in chain plates
• Foredeck replace by previous owners, new Lewmar windlass installed in 2023, rewired to lithium bank in 2024
• Kiwigrip deck paint 2024
• Fiberglass hardtop 2024, custom install by Sailcraft Service in Oriental, NC
• Original Core decking, cockpit area has some teak
• Yanmar engine new 2013/ 3000Hrs.
