POWERBOAT GUIDE COMMENTS

Rampage got it right with the 30 Offshore , a high-end diesel express with the DNA of a pocket battlewagon. Notable for her classic “Palm Beach” styling and excellent finish, the Offshore features a large cockpit area with a transom door (with top lid), full coaming bolsters, 38-gallon lighted baitwell, insulated fish box that is both removable and macerated, and fresh and raw water washdowns. The lockable tackle center has a gasketed top, large slide-out storage drawers with dividers, and a molded fiberglass sink with spray nozzle and removable cutting board. An electrically actuated engine hatch makes engine inspections easy. Below, the settee lounge converts to upper and lower sleeping bunks with rod storage beneath. The offset double berth forward has a queen-sized mattress with storage under, and the galley comes complete with refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, storage drawers and cabinets. Built on a fully cored hull with moderate beam, her Twin 300HP Yanmar diesels cruise economically in the mid 20s

Powerboat Guide Description

The Rampage 30 is one of the new-generation Rampage designs introduced in 1999 by the company’s new owner, KCS Inc. (which also owns Wisconsin-based Cruisers Yachts). Built on a fully cored hull with a relatively wide beam, the Rampage 30 is a rugged and well-finished boat that compares well with other high-end express fishermen her size. The cockpit comes with a 38-gallon transom livewell, a big in-deck fish box, transom door and gate, and a lockable tackle center. For engine access, the entire bridge deck can be raised on a hydraulic lift. Belowdecks, the cherrywood interior of the Rampage 30 is surprisingly plush for a fishing boat with berths for four and premium furnishings and hardware. Carpeting is standard, but an optional teak-and-holly sole adds even more class to this upscale interior. Additional features include a tilt-away helm, bow pulpit, lighted engine compartment, underwater exhausts, and plenty of rod storage. An expensive boat in her day, Twin 300 HP Yanmar diesels cruise the Rampage 30 in the mid 20s (30+ knots top).
